The American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC-AZ) recently traveled to Washington, D.C. for the ACEC National Convention—and we made sure the voice of Arizona’s engineering industry was heard loud and clear.
During our time in the nation’s capital, we met with the majority of Arizona’s congressional delegation to discuss critical issues impacting not only the engineering profession but the overall well-being and prosperity of all Arizonans.
🔑 Key Issues We Raised:
Infrastructure Investment
We advocated for continued and increased federal funding for Arizona’s roads, bridges, water systems, and broadband—vital to our communities and economy.
Workforce Development
We emphasized the urgent need to strengthen the pipeline of engineers and technical professionals through expanded STEM education support and thoughtful visa reform.
Tax Reform
We pushed for fair tax policies that support rather than hinder small and mid-sized firms, including reversing harmful R&D amortization rules and preserving critical deductions.
We thank Senator Kelly and Representatives Ansari, Biggs, Ciscomani, Gosar, Hamadeh, and Stanton, along with their dedicated staff, for taking the time to meet with us during a very busy week on the Hill.
This trip represents just one part of our year-round advocacy on behalf of Arizona’s engineering firms. When you’re a member of ACEC Arizona, you're part of a strong, unified voice making real change happen.
