Committees and Liaisons

Participation

Committees & Liaisons meetings are open to employees of member firms and government employees at a reduced price, and Non-Members are welcome to attend at the regular price.

ACEC Arizona member volunteers are the backbone of the organization.  If you are an employee of a member firm or government employee, get involved by participating in a committee or liaison. Participation in all liaisons and committees is encouraged and open to all employees of member firms and government employees.

Committees

Land Development – Meets as requested.

Roads & Streets ConferenceMeets starting in the winter to plan and coordinate speakers.

Golf TournamentStarts meeting in the winter to coordinate course selections/sponsorship ideas.

Education and Workforce Developmentmeets at various times of the year

Risk Management Committee - will meet 4 times a year 

Legal Forum - open to licensed attorneys only - will meet 4 times a year

Business Practicesincludes current trends in recruitment, retention, insurance, workplace environment, social media policies, best use and strategy, public relations, awards, and outreach. Meets at various times throughout the year

Information Technologyincludes current trends, discussions of best practices, and management and running of IT departments. Meets at various times throughout the year

Liaisons

ADOT: Join us on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast networking; the speaker will start at 8:30 a.m. at the ACEC Arizona office.

Southern Arizona Liaison—This group includes cities and counties in southern Arizona, plus ADOT. It meets jointly with other engineering organizations.

The City of Phoenix—Meets on the third Tuesday of the month (subject to change) at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast networking; the speaker starts at 8:30 a.m. at the ACEC Arizona office.

Pinal County Liaison – Meets quarterly in Pinal County.

Maricopa County—This group meets every other month on the second Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast networking; the speaker starts at 8:30 a.m. at the ACEC Arizona office.

West ValleyMeets quarterly with various West Valley cities

East ValleyMeets quarterly with various East Valley cities​

Water – Meets quarterly with state-wide water officials.

East Valley Aviation - Meets quarterly with East Valley airports
