ACEC Transportation Committee Information

ACEC Transportation Committee members - Following on my note from a couple of weeks ago about the revised definition of "Waters of the U.S." under the Clean Water Act, we've scheduled a timely webinar that will take a deeper dive into the rule and its implications for engineering firms and your clients. WOTUS Is Redefined by the Biden Administration (Live Online Class) Thursday, February 9, 1:30 p.m. EST

This webinar will cover potential changes from current practices and explore the meaning of relevant terms in the new rule, such as:

  • "adjacent wetlands"

  • "relatively permanent" surface water connections

  • "significant" hydrologic or ecological "nexus"

  • "reasonably close such that the wetland can modulate water quantity or quality."

They will also consider what to expect from the pending Supreme Court decision and future regulatory action in this area. Speakers - Fred Wagner, Jay Johnson, and Aaron Aber from Venable LLP Click here to register.
