About the event
Mike is the Executive Director of PAG/RTA responsible for the delivery of the RTA $2.1B plan and execution of PAG’s transportation and environmental planning mission. Originally from Douglas, Ortega earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and received his master’s in business administration from the University of Arizona. He has over 30 years of service in numerous roles including as City Manager for Douglas, Cochise County Manager, ADOT State Engineer, and most recently as Tucson City Manager for nine years.
