ACEC AZ Dues Index for 2010/2011
When joining the ACEC of Arizona, your firm will also be joining as a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies and will receive the benefits of this dual membership. (If you are a branch office of a national firm, your national office may already be a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies. In this case, you pay only state dues.)
Dues are based on the estimated number of full-time employees (i.e., engineers, designers, clerical, administration – everyone) in your Arizona office(s) from the first of July through the end of June (ACEC OF AZ fiscal year). The number of employees is converted to an “Index Point” which is used for dues calculation.
ACEC OF AZ (State) dues are $270 an index point. American Council of Engineering Companies (National) dues are $310.45 for a one-person firm with an index point for 2+ persons (whether paid annually or quarterly).
To calculate your firm dues for the fiscal year, take the combined State/National dues multiplied by your index point. Quarterly dues are payable July 1st, October 1st, January 1st, and April 1st. If you join in mid year, dues are prorated.
Example: (Add State & National Dues) Your firm has 16 employees; therefore, your index point is 4.9. The dues are $2836.00. ($709 each quarter).
