ACEC AZ has ongoing, established relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. Monthly meetings are held for you to meet with key government entities to discuss upcoming projects and issues as well as to promote common interests.

Committees

  • Public Relations
    Meets monthly, 11:30 lunch, usually at the University Club. Responsible for the Annual Awards Banquet; liaison to Engineers Week, Future Cities and Mathcounts; outreach with K-8 grades, high school, junior colleges, and universities; general public relations and speakers bureau.
  • Business Practices/Government Affairs
    Meets first Tuesday of month, 7:15 a.m. breakfast, University Club. Legislation, salary/business survey, contract and business practice issues.
  • Human Resources
    Meets third Thursday each month, 7:30 a.m. breakfast, University Club. HR principals/managers discuss current trends in recruitment, retention, insurance, liability, etc.
  • Mechanical/ Electrical Division
    Meets as needed to discuss M/E client issues, contracts, etc.
  • Geotechnical Division
    Meets quarterly to discuss geotech issues
  • Structural Division
    Meets as needed to discuss structural issues
  • Civil Division
    Meets as needed to discuss civil issues
  • Private Development
    Meets quarterly
  • Roads & Streets Conference
    Meets starting in the fall as needed to plan and coordinate speakers, exhibits and activities for the conference.
  • Golf Tournament
    Meets as needed to plan and coordinate golf tournament, rules, course, sponsorships
